I recently had a major problem in my house and I was extremely in need of quick service. A pipe broke and water was coming in and causing problems which would be much larger if not addressed quickly. I called Cumberland directly and they were so nice and very understanding. It must have been only a few hours later that the process started with an adjuster calling me named Peter Vlahakis. Peter came to the house the next day and met with my contractor and gave his approval to correct the leak, preventing future damage. This was such a big relief knowing that someone really cared about an 81 year old's problem. Upon completion of the work I was given a very detailed 18 page report with all completed work including diagrams. I would hope that the officials at Cumberland will acknowledge and compliment Peter Vlahakis for a job well done. Thank you Cumberland. Joe Palestini

Cumberland Mutual is very good for handling claims. I had vehicle damage to garage door area. Information and details of pictures and estimates were shar.ed with claims department. They were very helpful with the processing and approval. The settlement process was hassle free. I highly recommend Cumberland Mutual

My daughter bought a new home and went with Cumberland for homeowner's insurance. After many mix ups, Cumberland was still not paid 3 weeks later and was about to cancel the policy. I called on her behalf and talked to Karen. She was a godsend! Karen got the due date pushed back so that there is more time for a new check to be sent alleviating one less thing for my daughter to deal with. Cumberland, take care of Karen! One of the best customer service people I've ever dealt with!

A deer ran into the left front fender of my car. A 2008 Sebring convertible. My car is in very good condition. I took it to a local body shop and they said it was totaled. I couldn't believe it the damage wasn't that bad. Cumberland sent an adjuster out within 2days and his estimate was much more reasonable. I took it to a shop that was a family business and they had no problem repairing it for that price. Cumberland acted in a very reasonable time frame. No complaints.
