I never leave reviews, probably because I never receive outstanding customer service as I did today. William (Bill) Freitag was most helpful and he left me feeling that I definitely needed to give him a shout out telling him how much I appreciated his assistance this morning. The claims rep was great, once he got the claim he showed up for the inspection within a day, responded immediately when I had questions and had the claims check sent out within a week so I could get started on repairs.![]()

I recently had a major problem in my house and I was extremely in need of quick service. A pipe broke and water was coming in and causing problems which would be much larger if not addressed quickly. I called Cumberland directly and they were so nice and very understanding. It must have been only a few hours later that the process started with an adjuster calling me named Peter Vlahakis. Peter came to the house the next day and met with my contractor and gave his approval to correct the leak, preventing future damage. This was such a big relief knowing that someone really cared about an 81 year old's problem. Upon completion of the work I was given a very detailed 18 page report with all completed work including diagrams. I would hope that the officials at Cumberland will acknowledge and compliment Peter Vlahakis for a job well done. Thank you Cumberland. Joe Palestini
